Three Highest Peaks of Ireland Hike (Nov. 10, 2019)

This weekends hike summited the three highest peaks in Ireland, Carrauntoohil, Beenkeragh and Caher Mountain. When someone describes a hike as epic, what they mean is brutal but worth the views. Being November in Ireland, there were more clouds than views this weekend. After summiting the first and second peaks on our hike, the weather picked up but we had already crossed a ridge that was now dangerous to go back over so the only way home was moving forwards and summiting the third peak. It rained and snowed and the wind was so bad it would blow us over. There were times we had to lay on the ground to stop from being blown off the edge of a cliff. We eventually made it back to the bus after dark and soaking wet after hiking 13 miles and climbing 480 floors.
